Cheetos Take A Break

Chester Cheetah, the brand’s mascot since 1986, is encouraging workers to take a break in a new series of television commercials launched this month. In “Fort” Chester helps to build a make-shift club house in a furniture store, open to only those with the right password. In “Piano” Chester brings out the hidden talent for “Chopsticks” of a music store saleswoman. And in “Party” a building team defy the looks of their foreman as they groove to Chester’s music.

The Take a Break campaign was developed at Goodby Silverstein & Partners by executive creative directors Rick Condos and Hunter Hindman, associate creative directors Isaac Silverglate and Jeff Anderson, art director Antonio Marcato, copywriter Rob Katzenstein, executive producer Hilary Coate and producer Timothy Plain.

Filming was shot by director Steve Miller via Radical Media with executive producer Donna Portaro, director of photography Eric Schmidt, line producer Barbara Benson.

Editor was Ian Mackenzie at MacKenzie Cutler with assistant editors Matt O’Donnell and Mike Rizzo, executive producer Melissa Miller. Telecine was done at Company 3.

Visual effects and online editing were produced at Brickyard VFX by VFX supervisor Geoff McAuliffe, VFX Senior Producer Amy Appleton, VFX Executive Producer Kirsten Andersen, VFX artists Jimi Simmons, Peter Bullis, Gina Downing, Robin Hobart, Sean McLean.

Sound was designed by Sam Shaffer and Rohan Young at Mackenzie Cutler. Final Music was licensed at APM.

Graphics were produced at Logan.
