The third week in June is traditionally the time when Cannes on the south coast of France becomes host to Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, the world’s biggest advertising awards festival. This year the 58th Festival has been renamed Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, in recognition of PR and social media cases that raise awareness without selling anything. The festival continues its exploration of the emerging world of advertising and creativity with seminars, along with awards nights held in the Palais des Festivals. The Festival of Creativity is online at www.canneslions.com, Facebook, Linkedin group, a YouTube channel, Flickr photography stream, Feedburner news feed and a smartphone app for iPhone and Android.
