Bruno Mars Grenade

American singer/songwriter Bruno Mars has his “Grenade” music video nominated for four awards at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards: Video of the Year, Best Male Video, Best Pop Video and Best Choreography. The Bruno Mars Grenade music video, shot by director Nabil, features Bruno walking through the streets of Los Angeles towing a piano, on his way to sing out his love to a woman who does not feel the same. The ending of the video, with Bruno standing in front of a moving train, has had the potential to inspire copycat behaviour. Bruno provides the following advice. “Today, I get to share with you the visual companion piece to my new single, ‘Grenade.’ The song is about loving someone so deeply, and the pain of knowing that the person you love does not feel the same. The actions in this video serve as a metaphor, and should not be taken literally. I am aware of the power of visual media, and I encourage everyone who watches this video to understand that it is an artistic interpretation of the song, and not something to imitate.”
