MTV Staying Alive commissioned “Chewing Gum”, a public service commercial using a piece of chewing gum to remind people that every few seconds, someone new gets the taste of HIV. The commercial, launched in 2008, is designed to communicate the dangers of unsafe sex, and show how careless society has become with regards to the disease. AIDS has the power to affect each and every one of us if we allow it to and don’t take the necessary precautions.

The Chewing Gum commercial was developed at Lowe Mena, Dubai, by creative directors Mark Lewis and Sanjay Mathur, copywriter Bianca Bernstein, art directors Layal Chuman and Shanon Waugh, and account supervisor Tarek Miknas.
Sound was designed and arranged at BKP Music, Dubai. Music is from The Elder Scrolls.
