French AIDS awareness group AIDES has launched an animated cartoon, “Getting Tail”, in which Smutley (a reference to Felix the Cat) has intimate relations with creatures great and small. The short finishes with a moral for all, reminding us that unlike the cat, humans are mortal after all.

The Smutley campaign was developed at Goodby Silverstein & Partners by executive creative director Erik Vervroegen, copywriter Eric Boyd, art director Andre Massis and agency producer Jon Drawbaugh.
Animation was produced at Passion Pictures by directing collective Against All Odds, with producer Julie Murnaghan, and executive producer Michael Adamo.
