Australian cricketer Steve Waugh spreads the message of perseverance in his appearance in online commercials for Johnnie Walker. Part of the “Giants” campaign, the series shows Steve walking through India, where he visits the Udayan orphanage he has been sponsoring, reflecting on moments he could have given up on cricket. Perhaps he brings a valuable message to the Australian team facing the loss of their Ashes tournament with England. “I’m not interested in “would’ve”, “should’ve” or “could’ve”. I just get on with it”. The Johnnie Walker Australia Facebook page includes a competition, running through to January 7, 2011, calling for stories of perseverance.
