Wrigley is promoting Starburst confectionery in Australia with “Tornado”, a television commercial featuring a fruit-flavoured storm. A hand held video camera in the back seat of the car captures the events that ensue after the front passenger opens a packet of Starburst Fruitful Mix. The car’s windscreen is splattered with citrus slices and strawberries, giving a hint of the extraordinary experience of being caught in a tornado of juice.

The Tornado spot was developed at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne by executive creative director Richard Maddocks and TV producer Denise McKeon.
