The School of Visual Arts is a fine art and graphic art school in New York City specializing in art education for aspiring professional artists. Students there have literally been pushing the envelope each time they enter or leave the school’s building. Images of envelopes with custom-engraved steel push-plates were installed on the school’s doors. “Push The Envelope” is an American phrase which means to innovate or go beyond commonly accepted boundaries.
The Push the Envelope experience was developed at KNARF, New York, by executive creative director/art director/copywriter Frank Anselmo, creative director/art director/copywriter Jayson Atienza, creative director Richard Wilde, and photographer Billy Siegrist.
