Polo Mints with the Hole
Polo Mints, the confectionery introduced by Rowntree’s in 1948, has the tag line, “The Mint with the Hole”. The name comes from the word, “Polar”, evoking associations of freezing cold. Here’s a set of three print advertisements from Dubai connecting the tag line and the name to transform skate boarders into snow boarders, desert dwellers into Arctic dwellers, and bears into polar bears.
The Polo Hole campaign was developed at JWT, Dubai, UAE, by executive creative directors Chafic Haddad, Russell Heubach, art director Husen Baba, copywriter Zahir Mirza and illustrator Xavier Cacho.
