Optus sponsorship of Australian football is celebrated in the Secret Training Camp, an advertising campaign designed to built momentum around the FIFA World Cup in South Africa. The campaign, online at optusfootball.com.au, is spearheaded by a commercial featuring Socceroos Tim Cahill and Lucas Neill taking on their toughest opponents yet, a team of wild animals. A young Soccerroos fan sneaks into the training ground to witness the team taking on elephants, rhinos, crocodiles, cheetahs and ostriches. “With Optus behind football anything’s possible”.

The Secret Training Camp campaign was developed at M&C Saatchi, Sydney, by executive creative director Ben Welsh, copywriter Andy Flemming, art director Paul Carpenter, agency producer Loren August.
