Oprah Winfrey’s Ultimate Australian Adventure

Tourism Australia has convinced Oprah Winfrey to film two episodes from her final season in the Sydney Opera House (Oprah House), making it the first time the show has been filmed outside the USA. Oprah announced the move during the premiere episode, informing viewers that she will be taking 300 of her most loyal viewers on an eight-day, seven night trip to Australia in December. A model Qantas plane rolled on to the stage, piloted by Qantas ambassador-at-large John Travolta. Qantas Airways, Tourism New South Wales, the Sydney Opera House, Tourism Victoria, Tourism Queensland, R.M. Williams and Network 10 will have their products featured in the two episodes, airing first in the USA in early 2011 before rolling into other global markets.
