Omega Watches, official timekeeper of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, is promoting its sponsorship with digital, print and television advertising, with a social networking campaign online at Facebook. The Vancouver 2010 Countdown Clock began its countdown three years ago, part of a permanent structure in front of the Vancouver Art Gallery. A pop up boutique shop has been established in the Fairmont Hotel. Gadgets and Widgets have been made available for installation on PCs and Apples, providing a countdown to the Games and a Constellation watch.
Two of the Games’ official mascots, Miga and Quatchi, visited the OMEGA Boutique and the Countdown Clock.
Three television commercials highlight Omega’s involvement in the Winter Olympics, with alpine skiing, speed skating and bob sled footage interspersed with images of Omega watches.
