Nike Music Shoe Performance

Nike Japan is playing music with Nike Free Run+ in the Nike Music Shoe. Japanese musician Hifana bends and twists the flexible soles of Nike shoes in a live performance of Also sprach Zarathustra, originally written by Richard Strauss.

The Music Shoe campaign was developed at Wieden + Kennedy, Tokyo by executive creative director Frank Hahn and Naoki Ito, interactive art director Shingo Ohno, art director Naoki Ga, copywriter Hiroshi Kuyama, copywriter Takayuki Rokutan, agency producer Kenji Tanaka.

Filming was shot by director Kosai Sekine with director of photography Naoki Noda, producer Satoshi Takahashi, production manager Hirotaka Tochihara and Chikako Hayama, recording engineer Katsuyuki Yamada. Post production was done at Capra. Editor was Norihiko Maeda, sound engineer Yamaro.

Tomoaki Yanagisawa of 4nchor5 la6 was responsible for adding flexible and accelerometer sensors to the shoes. Daito Manabe of rhizomatiks did the sound programming with Max.
