Nando’s Chicken Vixens

Nando’s Canada opened their first downtown Vancouver location in the heart of Vancouver’s vibrant gay/lesbian/bisexual and transgendered community. They wanted to connect themselves to the community in a memorable way and drive consumers in restaurant to try their flavourful flame grilled chicken. To do this they created the Nando’s Chicken Vixens and unleashed them on the Vancouver Gay Pride festivities to celebrate not only Pride, but also their brand spanking new Nando’s location. The Nando’s Chicken Vixens, decked out in dominatrix gear and armed with branded spanking paddles, administered free spanks encouraging consumers to take a lickin’ for chicken. Everyone who took a whackin’ got their lips smackin’ with free chicken coupons to drive in store trial. Those who got a spank from the Vixens could tag or upload a photo of the action on the Nando’s Canada Facebook Fan Page for a chance to win cash to spend at Nando’s.

The Vixens campaign was developed at Inventa, Vancouver, by group client director Alexa Freudigmann, creative account manager Trina Mousseau, account coordinator Christine Tarves, art director Kyla Dorey, with Nando’s national marketing director Mark Majewski and marketing and public relations manager Rokhsan Raiszadeh.
