Mercedes SLK Skidmarks

The Mercedes SLK roadster was presented as the traffic stopper in “Skidmark”. The ad won Press and Outdoor Grand Prix awards at Cannes International Advertising Festival in 1997, four One Show Pencils, and a D&AD Silver Pencil. The ad was referenced in the 2010 Spike Asia Call for Entries print advertising campaign.

The Skidmark ad was developed at Leo Burnett London by creative director Gerard Stamp, copywriter Nick Bell, art director Mark Tutssel, account supervisor Crispin Reed, photographer Russell Porcas, typographer Trevor Slabber, advertiser’s supervisor Oliver Johnson.
