Mediabistro Launches Creative Pro
Mediabistro, a division of WebMediaBrands, has launched Mediabistro Creative Pro, a new online training program for advertising and design professionals, co-presented by Mediabistro and Miami Ad School. The program teaches strategy and execution through video tutorials, portfolio critiques, and live webcasts. Mediabistro Creative Pro is a subscription service designed for copywriters and designers around the world who have few affordable quality training options. It offers them the chance to learn from experts at top agencies including Ogilvy, McCann Erickson, Organic, SapientNitro, StrawberryFrog, Mr Youth, and Sterling Brands. The campaign has been launched with a microsite, Facebook page, Twitter stream, and EventBrite page.
The first Creative Pro Webcast is free, online at Monday, October 18, 2010 from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM (ET). Jonathan Rosen and Ryan O’Hara Theisen, two graduates of NYU film school, made their mark in advertising, then teamed up to form Lucky Viral Branded Content. They describe Lucky as “a hybrid—half agency, half production company.” Clients include Nike, Sony, Toyota, Audi, Vodaphone, JetBlue, Xerox, and The New York Times. In addition to telling their stories and offering specific advice about setting up your own agency, Jonathan and Ryan will be taking questions from webcast participants.
