McDonalds in Vancouver recently invited commuters to join them for a free coffee using a bus shelter display with bursts of steam. A steam machine was built to fit inside a transit shelter, timed to provide periodic bursts of steam along with the message, “Your free coffee is ready. Get a free small coffee during breakfast hours”.

The Steam campaign. launched in November 2009, was developed at Cossette, Vancouver, by creative director/art director Rob Sweetman, creative director/copywriter Bryan Collins, producer Wendy Moriarty, with print production done at Dyna Graphics, Vancouver.
