iPhone 4 FaceTime Smiling Globally

Apple is rolling out the Smiling campaign, promoting the iPhone 4 FaceTime feature, in a global advertising campaign with special elements included for Japan and Korea. Seven new commercials, Football, Mum’s Birthday, Wedding Dress, Lion (School Play), Business Trip, Sign Language, Sonogram, are being aired in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Australia, and other parts of the world. Four commercials have been produced for Japan: Dad’s Birthday, Wedding, Kimono and Lovers. Two were produced for South Korea: First Meal and Dad’s Birthday.

The Smiling campaign was developed at TBWA\Media Arts Lab by executive creative directors Duncan Milner, Eric Grunbaum, Scott Trattner, creative director Go Sahara, art directors Niraj Zaveri, Jin Soo Kim, copywriters David Young and Jaeho Kim (Korean campaign), art directors Niraj Zaveri and Masaya Asai, copywriters David Young, Takayuki Niizawa (Japanese campaign), agency producers Bryan Barker, Manuel Reta, Travis Roever, Jack Manabu.

Filming was shot by director Jeff Preiss via Epoch Films with director of photography Kris Kachikis (Korean campaign) and Philippe Le Sourd (Japanese campaign). Editors were Jared Coller, Stu Silverman and Jenny Mogen at Nomad Editing Company. Post production was done at Company 3 by online artist Brian Robinson and colorist Stefan Sonnenfeld.
