Hot Wheels Big Boy
Mattel commissioned “Big Boy”, a poster placed on a footbridge in Mexico City giving the impression that a giant kid’s really there, quietly watching the small cars on the avenue as if they were Hot Wheels toys. As Brief Blog in Mexico points out, all is well until the boys comes alive and wants to play with one of the cars! The campaign won a Bronze Outdoor Lion at Cannes International Advertising Festival.
The Big Boy ad was developed at Ogilvy Mexico by chief creative officer José Montalvo, executive creative director Miguel Angel Ruiz, creative director/copywriter Abraham Quintana, head art director Iván Carrasco, art directors Mario Salgado, Jaime González, advertiser’s supervisor Roberto Guzmán, planner Javier Macías, producers Alejandra Diaz, Ereth Bolaño, photographer Diego Arrigoni, account manager Horacio Genolet, account supervisor Pilar Troconis.
