Honda CR-V Imagine Where It Could Take You

Honda Australia has launched a new advertising campain for the Honda 2010 CRV people mover, centred around a television commercial shot over two nights in a high rise Sydney car park. The commercial featuring confetti snowballs, acrobats, dancing half-time oranges, a mountain goat, ski lift and kayaker, is supplemented by online, print, outdoor and point of sale advertising. The tag line for the campain is “Imagine where it Could Take You”.

The Honda team include GM manager Honda Kevin Lillie and marketin coordinator Romina D’Amico.

The Rooftop ad was developed at DraftFCB Sydney by creative director Scott Lambert and agency producer Lisa Ramsey.

Filming was shot by director Scott Otto Anderson via Photoplay, Sydney, with producer Oliver Lawrence.

The set for the TV ad took more than three weeks to build with a crew of 40 installing scenes including a terrace street scene, a theatre and a winter wonderland.

Anderson describes the shoot as “lots of fun and play”, referrin to use of forced perspective, miniatures, prop-builds, a hairdryer powered by a man inside. “It was a huge production, with a set build of over three weeks, some 40-odd crew installed every scene imaginable – from a terrace house street scene, to a theatre, to even a winter wonderland. And all this happened within the car park’s height limitation of 2.1 metres. Each scene was then played out with the help of over 20 actors and stagehands.”

Post production was done at Fuel VFX, Sydney.

Music is “We Got It All” by Los Angeles band Right The Stars, sung by Rich Jacques.
