GE’s Healthymagination campaign, promoting better health for more people, has been given a major boost with a set of television commercials aired in assocation with the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. The five commercials, shot by film directing collective Traktor, celebrate the role of medical staff through the ages and around the world.
“Say Ahh” brings together children and adults around the world contributing to a rendition of Ode to Joy, the chorale from Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.

“Beautiful” introduces us to a married couple who are waiting to hear the results of tests for cancer. We’re shown a flashback through the woman’s life, leading up to the beautiful news that she’s all clear.

“Doctors” introduces a universal record keeping program which makes it possible to have access to medical advice given in the past.

“Take a look” tracks medical care through the centuries, beginning in the Bronze Age, moving through ancient China, medieval days, the American 1930s to the modern day, introducing a portable hand-held ultrasound scanner.

“Stadium”, filmed in Candlestick Park, treats doctors and nurses as the sporting heroes of the day.
