French news television channel France 24 is moving its Arabic news service to 24 hours a day this month, promoted in a series of television commercials featuring world leaders trying to learn Arabic. USA president Barack Obama, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, British Queen Elizabeth II and Chinese president Hu Jintao are talked through simple phrases in Arabic.

The Learning Arabic campaign was developed at Marcel, Paris by creative directors Anne de Maupeou, Frederic Témin, art director Youri Guerassimov, copywriter Gaëtan du Peloux, agency producer Timothé Rosenberg.
Filming was shot by directors Alexandre Vivet and Gabriel Malaprade at Marcassin, Paris, with executive producer Jérémie Morichon. Sound was designed and mixed by Boris Nicou.
