Florence + the Machine have been nominated for Video of the Year, Best Rock Video, Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards for the music video, “Dog Days Are Over”. Florence Welch and her supporters, the music video. Florence dances in a white-washed room wearing many different costumes and gradually being joined by go-go dancers, drummers wearing tribal outfits, harpists, marching band timpanists and a gospel choir wearing white and purple. At the climax of the song characters burst into ash in a flash of brightly coloured light. The video ends with Florence once again standing alone in the room.

The Dog Days Are Over music video was filmed by collaborative team LEGS (Georgie Greville and Geremy Jasper ) via Rokkit, with executive producer Adam Joseph, producer Malachy McAnenny, director of photography Adam Frisch.
Editor was Paul Snyder at Lost Planet with senior assistant editor/after effecgts artist Jacks Genega, executive producer Krystn Wagenberg, producer Marcia Wigley, FX artist Tim Farrell and producer TJ Vierling at Black Hole, smoke artist Tim Farrell.
Other crew included art director Louise Corcoran, stylist Aldene Johnson, 1st assistant director Samantha Le Page, lighting director Jim O’Keefe, make up artist Georgina Graham, hair stylist Horishi Mastsushita, choreographer Mark Battershall and commissioner Ailsa Robertson.
