Fairtrade Big Swap

Fair Trade Foundation in the UK has been running “Fairtrade Fortnight”, finishing today, this year calling the nation to join the Big Swap. For two weeks people have been called to swap their usual stuff for Fairtrade stuff, their usual bananas for Fairtrade bananas, their usual cotton socks for Fairtrade cotton socks, and their usual cuppa for a Fairtrade cuppa. The campaign is online at www.fairtrade.org.uk, Facebook, Twitter and Flickr, provides an I Swap Twibbon, and has been encouraged with “Swap Your Head for Fairtrade Chocolate”, an ambient campaign by Wieden+Kennedy London.

Wieden + Kennedy’s installation, situated in the window of their Hanbury Street office in London, has been created in support of Fairtrade Fortnight, and the idea of swapping products for Fairtrade products. Visitors to the window were able to have their heads photographed before texting their details and photo number to enter the competition. The three lucky winnters would win their head cast in Divine chocolate by Parisian chocolatiers VĂ©ronique Lorne and Sophie Offerstein.
