Unilever is promoting Dove Men+Care with “Manthem”, a television commercial which debuted during the first half of the 2010 Super Bowl. The 45 second music video, set to the William Tell Overture, spills over with stereotypes associated with masculinity, encouraging men to get to the point where they’re comfortable in their own skin. The spot begins with sperm racing to fertilize an egg before taking us through the journey of a baby boy through childhood and adolescence to adulthood.
