Doodle 4 Google I Love Soccer

Google is running an international Doodle 4 Google competition, inviting 4 to 17 year olds to design the Google logo in their very own style around the them, “I love soccer”. Google employees in each participating country will select the best ten entries for an online public poll, held between June 1 and 7. Public will then be able to take part in the global vote, between June 21 and 28, for the doodle which will be displayed internationally on the Google homepage for a day on July 11th, 2010.

Participating countries include the UK, South Africa, Korea, Australia, Kenya, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, New Zealand, France, Ghana, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, Taiwan, and the Czech Republic. The doodle must not show any representation, logo or symbol of a specific country or a team or a sporting event such as: soccer teams badges, country flags, soccer tournaments symbols or logos or mascot.
