Country Road, an Australian fashion label with outlets in Myer and David Jones, have launched their Autumn/Winter catalogue featuring photography shot in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. Country Road’s urban explorer meets the great outdoors on New Zealand’s Tasman Glacier, mixing streetwear sportiness with a rugged military functionality. New York photographer Tesh flew in to Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park by helicopter with models Cato Van E and Vincent LaCrocq.
Photographer Tesh worked with creative director/designer Sophie Holt, art director Matt Edwards and hair stylist Alan White.
“We wanted something dramatic, something different to anything we’d ever done that married a sense of the great outdoors with an intrepid explorer theme, which suited the range,” Country Road creative director and designer Sophie Holt says.
“The Tasman Glacier of New Zealand’s biggest mountain, Mt Cook, provided the perfect backdrop. “We think it looks new and fresh and on brand for our customer. We particularly love the behind-the-scenes elements, because we wanted to focus on connecting with our customers, bringing them into our world and how we work.”
