Coca-Cola’s global Christmas 2010 campaign was centred around “Snow Globes”, a television commercial featuring the new Train track “Shake Up Christmas (Coke Xmas Anthem). The campaign, online at xmas.coke.com, includes a television commercial, outdoor and cinema advertising, iPhone and Facebook apps, and in-store promotion. In the commercial Santa is shown playing with glass snow globes, which initiates a series of heartwarming events in the ‘real world’. Coca-Cola Christmas delivery trucks bringing a couple together and a grocery clerk falling into a shopping cart and tumbling home to his family are some of the scenarios that ensue.
