Canal+ has taken a fresh look at the life of Carlos, the international terrorist who held the world to ransom between 1946 and 1993. The TV series is being promoted in an integrated advertising campaign incorporating film and print advertising alongside graphic design work, and a experiemental and information rich website, carlos.canalplus.fr.

The campaign was developed at BETC Euro RSCG by executive producers Raphaël de Andréis, Alexandre George, François Brogi, Clémence Körber, global creative director Stéphane Xiberras, creative director/art director Christophe Clapier, creative director/copywriter Ivan Beczkowski, creative director/copywriter Olivier Apers, art director Viken Guzel (TV/print) copywriter Charles Lefort (TV/print) strategic planner Clarisse Lacarrau, art buyers Isabelle Mocq, Karine Grealou, illustrator Baptiste Massé, legal negotiator Aïcha Fetouhi, TV producer David Green.
Filming was shot by director Olivier Assayas via Wanda Productions, Paris, with producer Wilfrid Brimo and director of photography Nicolas Loir. Local production was provided by Unit + Sofa, Prague. Music was supervised at Kouz Production.
Carlos (Ilich Ramirez Sanchez) is played by Edgar Ramirez.
