BobWheeling for Offsetters at Vancouver 2010

Offsetters is the Official Carbon Offsetter of the 2010 Winter Games. The offset projects provided by this BC-based company will reduce a minimum of 110,000 tonnes of carbon emissions into the atmosphere, thereby offsetting direct emissions from the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. VANOC and Offsetters will also work together with interested Games partners, sponsors and participants to offset an additional estimated 190,000 tonnes of indirect carbon emissions from the Games caused by activities such as air travel. The offsetting program is being promoted with “BobWheeling”, a global warming-proof demonstration sport for future Winter Games. When the earth’s temperatures rise, BobWheeling will be there to keep the Olympic spirit alive. The campaign is online at www.bobwheeling.com, Facebook and YouTube.
