Barclays, the British banking group, has launched “Rollercoaster”, a new television commercial for Barclaycard following up the success of “Waterslide“. The advertisement, set to Boston’s 1976 classic rock hit More Than A Feeling, shows actor Jake Jample traveling to the office hassle free through the skyline of downtown New York City, using his contactless Barclaycard to buy lunch. The spot ends with an invitation to visit the Barclaycard Facebook page. The ad breaks on TV during ITV1’s Dancing on Ice on Sunday January 24.
The Rollercoaster commercial, filmed in New York, uses a real rollercoaster and 40 feet of track, along with CGI effects. Jake Jample’s shots were filmed in green screen and connected with footage filmed using Spydercam. See footage from behind the scenes at the Facebook page.
