Argos, the UK retail chain, has been running a series of Christmas-related TV adverts focusing on the journey of the three wise men, also known as the Magi and the Three Kings. Their journey to Jerusalem and Bethlehem is made easier through the slogan “Argos It”. Two 20-second TV spots, the ads “Sat Nav” and “Frisbee” promote the Argos online stock-checker and reservation service. A further three 10-second edits support the “Quickpay” fast track pay option in-store and the Argos iPhone app, both offering alternative ways for people to “Argos it” this Christmas. Argos has also built online interest through a five minute “making of” video.

The Wise Men campaign was developed at CHI & Partners, London, by creatives Alan Cinnamond and Nigel Roberts.
Filming was shot by director Steve Cope via Rattling Stick with director of photography Federico Alfonzo.
The wise men were played by Dimitri Andreas, Nathan Harmer and Geff Francis.
