Amazon Kindle Stop Motion Advertising

Amazon is running television commercials for the Kindle, perhaps responding to the pressure being placed on the market by Apple’s impending launch of the iPad. The two advertisements feature stop motion photography by Angela Kohler and Ithyle Griffiths, with actress Annie Little and model Ryan Curry.

Another example of over-used, trendy (if nicely executed) visuals, a trendy music style, and a trendy technique. It’s a nice idea — the Kindle as a device of endless possibility — executed in a completely derivative and uninspiring way. Come on, Amazon, you can do better than this as a reaction to Apple.
