Bayer brand Alka Seltzer is presented as the way to deal with the effects of heartburn and indigestion personified as “evil food”, in a print advertising campaign from Brazil. The effervescent antacid is shown alongside scheming sausages planning a nasty trip, underhanded roast chicken tying shoelaces, and dastardly bacon tipping hot pepper sauce in contact lens cases. “Beware of the evil food. Alka Seltzer.”
The Evil Food campaign was developed at AlmapBBDO, Sao Paulo, by creative director Luiz Sanches, art directors Denis Peralta and Guilherme Sakosigue, copywriter Andre Kassu, illustrator Marco Furtado.
