Absa Creativity Takes Courage

Absa, a bank network in South Africa, marked the 25th anniversary of the Absa L’Atelier art competition, for young artists between the age of 21 and 35 years, with a series of short films delving into the minds of four inspiring artists. Each artist was to design artwork using the Henri Matisse quote “Creativity takes courage” and then have it tattooed onto their bodies. “Koos”, one of the documentary short films, has won a Gold craft award for direction at the Loeries in Cape Town. Read on to see Koos, Lizelle, Kate and Thabang.
