Irish band U2 has released the promotional music video for the new single, “Get On Your Boots”. The track, focusing on the role of women in the past, present and future of the world, shows the band performing throughout, with women looking on over scenes from space, carnivals, international conflicts, flames and explosions.

Filming was shot in London by director Alex Courtes via Partizan, with producer Malachy Mcanenny and director of photography Omer Ganai. Alex was part of the directing team, Alex & Martin, behind the music videos for Vertigo and City of Blinding Lights.
‘It’s based around the idea that men have f**ked things up so badly, politically, economically and socially, that it’s really time we handed things over to women,’ says Edge. ‘The finished video is brilliant. (Alex) really nailed it.’
