New Moon, the second film in the Twilight series, is set for release on November 20. The trailer, released this week, gives fans of the vampire romance saga a taste of the visualization of Stephanie Meyer’s novel “New Moon”, the sequel to Twilight.
The New Moon trailer gives us glimpses of the events that lead to Edward Cullen and his family leaving Bella Swan in the small Washington WA town of Forks. Devastated by grief, Bella rediscovers her sense of life in a friendship with native American Jacob Black. Together they rebuild motorcycles and learn to cheat death in daredevil stunts. Appearing in the trailer is Edi Gathegi as Laurent, an African American vampire who discovers the terrifying power of the wolf pack. The visual effects department are busy in this movie, portraying the shape shifting capacity of Jacob and the Quileute tribe.

New Moon is being directed by Chris Weitz, konwn for his screenwriting for About a Boy, 2002. Working with Weitz are cinematographer Javier Aguirresarobe, producers Wyck Godfrey and Mark Morgan, and co-producer Bill Bannerman. The screenplay is being developed by Melissa Rosenberg in collaboration with author Stephanie Meyer. Original music is by Alexandre Desplat. The film stars Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan, Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen, and Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black.
