TransPerth Handcuffs to Combat Grafitti

Transperth, Western Australia’s transport authority, is encouraging passengers to observe, remember and report any incidence of crime to the Transperth CommentLine on 13 16 08. Rewards of up to $1000 are paid for information leading to the prosecution and/or charges being laid against offenders who damage Transperth property. Transperth used a poster campaign to drive the message home to potential offenders as well as potential witnesses. A poster strategically placed on the back of a train seat gives the impression that the occupant is wearing handcuffs. “Grafitti and your next stop could be jail”.
