Today Was A Good Day for Nike SB

Nike is promoting the P-Rod III skateboarding shoe with “Today Was A Good Day”, a video and print advertising campaign featuring Paul Rodriguez and the Ice Cube song in the title. See more at Paul, a Mexican-American professional skateboarder and actor, signed with Nike in 2004, producing his first shoe in 2005. The third in the series, a Zoom Air, will be released this month.

Paul skates around town in the P-Rod III, meeting up with other Nike spokesmen Kobe Bryant, Eric Koston and Theotis Beasley. Ice Cube, singer in the song, also provides a cameo.

Today Was A Good Day was developed at Nike by creative director Ean Lensch, Nike Skate group creative Jon Humphries and producer Craig Smith.

Filming was shot by The Hoffman Brothers (Mark and Matt) via Harvest Films, Santa Monica, with executive producers Bonnie Goldfarb and Scott Howard, director of photography Max Goldman, head of production/producer Rob Sexton, lead skate director of photography Greg Schmitt, skate director of photography Jason Hernandez.

Sound was designed and mixed by Scott Burns at Ravenswork, Venice, CA. Post production and telecine were produced at The Syndicate, Santa Monica by Flame artist Vendi Sevenhuysen.
