Susan Boyle, the 47 year old singer from the Lothians District in Scotland, has become an international star after singing “I Dreamed A Dream” on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent. The video of her stunning the judges and audience is online with 2.2 million hits at DriftingBoy95, 1.8 million at UKAdvertChannel, and 1.1 million at BritainTalent09, and just over 800,000 views of the full screening of her appearance on April 11 at Susanhasgottalent, all taking care not to allow embedding.
Susan Boyle sings “I Dreamed a Dream”, from Les Miserables, in her bid to join the likes of Elaine Page. Talent judge Piers Morgan described the act as the biggest surprise in his three years on the show. Amanda Holden commented on the way she and others in the audience had been cynical about her chances of emulating Elaine Page, and admitted being put in her place. Mister Nasty Simon Cowell added his yes to the score to give Susan a chance of making it to the finals of the show. It will be interesting to see if Susan changes her appearance at all, or if Britain will love her just the way she is.
