Stihl Chainsaw Bequeathed on Deathbed

Stihl chainsaws are being pushed in a controversial television commercial released in New Zealand, raising the ire of some viewers, but amusing others. New Zealand television channel TV3 has reported on the concerns being raised about the appropriateness of staging a joke on the deathbed of an old man.

The Deathbed scene was developed at DDB New Zealand by creative director Toby Talbot, copywriter Simon Vicars, art director James Tucker, and agency producer Judy Thompson.

Filming was shot by director Adam Stevens via Robbers Dog Films with producer Mark Foster and director of photography Ginny Loane.
