Starship Childrens Hospital Blow

Starship Children’s Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand, launched a television advertising campaign in July 2008, looking at childhood health from the other end of the age spectrum.

Child blows three candles in Starship Blow TV commercial

The commercial focuses on an old man with a twinkle in his eye blowing out a forest of birthday candles on a cake. As he continues to blow, the clock races backwards and he becomes younger and younger – zooming back through middle age, his teenage years and finally to a seriously sick three year old, gasping and struggling for breath – unable to blow out just three candles on his birthday cake.
