PACT Change Starts With Your Underwear

Pact, a new underwear brand associated with design and sustainability, has been launched this week in a campaign by Yves Behar (Fuseproject) and Pact founders Jason Kibbey and Jeff Denby. The Pact label, online at wearpact.com, uses the tag line, “Change starts with your underwear” to promote a program of social responsibility, linked with their sustainable and certified environmentally sound manufacturing practices and materials.

Each product design is linked to a non-profit organization, with 10 percent of sales going to affiliated groups. For the first three collections, the non participating non-profits are 826 National, ForestEthics and Oceana. Visitors to the Pact site can choose the design or cut they prefer, or shop by cause.

The underwear is made in Turkey, with all production processes, from growing the organic cotton to manufacturing and packaging, according to the company, taking place within a 100-mile radius. Packaging is made from reusable scrap cotton bags and garments are shipped in compostable wrappers.
