The NSW Police in Australia is highlighting the benefits of gun amnesty laws with a print advertising campaign developed at DDB Sydney. For three months, starting on March 1, those will with a gun licence but unregistered weapons will be able to register them. People without a gun licence will be able to surrender their firearms without penalty to any police station. The three print ads are designed to show how taking guns out of the picture can reduce the level of gun-related crimes and accidents in the state.
The Gun Amnesty campaign was developed at DDB Sydney by executive creative director Matt Eastwood, creative director Mark Harricks, art director Simon Johnson, copywriter Charlie Cook, photographer Toby Burrows, typographer Jason Young and Erwin Santosso with retouching done at Cream.
