NoNonsense Insurance in Ireland has launched a humorous TV ad using the scenario everyone dreams of – being too stunned to know what to with the lottery jackpot.

We’re introduced to the guy who’s won 9.4 million in the latest lottery. What does he plan to do with the money? Invest in 2000 bees. And where will he keep them? Profanity warning for the sensitive of heart…

The Bees ad is part of a campaign developed at Publicis QMP, Dublin, by creative director Carol Lambert, copywriter Eugene Ruane and agency producer Rachel Murray.

No Nonsense Bees was shot by director Brian O’Malley via Red Rage Films, Dublin, with producers Paul Holmes and Gary Moore.

    I wrote this ad, in Ireland, for an Irish agencey and an Irish client.
    You think I was going to make this a ‘slow’ Irishman joke?
    I’m afraid your comment says everything about you (and nothing about me).
    Why?
    Because in Ireland, Irish jokes aren’t Irish jokes.
    They’re just…jokes.
    There have been a million ads in England showing someone looking daft – do you think this shows English people looking ‘slow’?
