Google Maps features in a mysterious campaign launched this last week, featuring a video, “On 11/02/09 New York Became My Canvas”, and a web site, www.areyouwatching.tv. The campaign features Jack, an alien living in New York, who before leaving for his home in England decides to leave the USA something to remember him by.
Jack keeps a diary at www.areyouwatching.tv, journaling the development of his plan and the gathering of collaborators. Finally, on Day 11, the video is launched. Keep an eye out for the Google references, including the page, “Measuring Distances in Google”.
