Nespresso Heaven for George Clooney and John Malkovich
Nescafe in Switzerland has launched an international campaign promoting the Nespresso coffee machine, featuring George Clooney and John Malkovich. In “The Piano” George Clooney walks out of a Nespresso store after buying a CitiZ coffee machine, only to be hit by a falling piano. The Nespresso large bag still in his hand, he encounters Saint John Malkovich at the top of the stairs to heaven. Clooney protests that his time is not yet up. John subtly suggests that giving up the coffee machine is all it would take. Three versions of the film provide three different endings to the story.
Guillaume Le Cunff, International Marketing & Strategy Director of Nespresso, says, “Our short film impresses with its bold action and lots of humor and will delight coffee lovers and fans of Clooney and Malkovich. Clooney and Malkovich are not only excellent actors, they also have the invaluable ability to give their audience moments of relaxation and pleasure. And that is essential at Nespresso. We offer the highest quality in the premium portioned coffee sector, making an ordinary moment into an extraordinary moment.”
The campaign is online in German and French at the Nespresso website, www.nespresso-whatelse.com, providing cinematic highlights and bonus material from the three-day film shoot. The campaign is also online at Facebook.
The Nespresso Heaven campaign was developed at McCann Paris.
Filming was shot by director Robert Rodriguez via Moonwalk Films.
The customer is performed by Martina Panagia, Italian actress and model. The barista is played by Helen Lindes, Miss Spain 2000. The angels are played by Charlotte Poutrel and Madilon Bos.
