Mother Stick Figures Repeat Violence
Coca-Cola Australia continues to promote Mother with a second wave of television advertising for the energy drink building on the relaunch in mid 2008. The commercial stays true to the brand’s values of machismo and mischievousness. The relaunch, written up here in August 2008, has proved an enormous success for the brand and Coca-Cola Australia are continuing with the open and honest style of communication regarding past mistakes.
A new advertisement was launched on TV and online websites on 10th December, 2008, sets out to respond to complaints that the testosterone-filled orgy of violence in the previous campaign was too much for the sensitive Australian audience. The same sequence, dealing with the chemists responsible for the first Mother recipe, is presented with stick men.

The Mother relaunch campaign was developed at Smart Communication, Sydney.
