NZ Lotteries is promoting Lotto in New Zealand in a brand campaign using “Wish List”, a heart warming television commercial featuring a young boy’s life long aspirations.
A man fossicks through his garage to find an old document. As he finds it we’re taken to a flashback to his childhood. As a boy he’s developed a wishlist in response to his experience: sleeping on the top bunk, having his art work misunderstood, performing in a school play, and witnessing Holly Lewis’ plucky response to bullying on the bus. Flash back again to the present to see the guy crossing off two items from his wishlist, leaving “be the hero” and “be an astronaut” for the future.

Wishlist was developed at DDB New Zealand, Auckland, by executive creative director/copywriter Toby Talbot, deputy creative director/art director Regan Grafton, copywriter Paul Hankinson and Bridget Taylor, art director Gavin Siakimotu, executive producer Judy Thompson and agency producer Chloe Sutherland, account team Andrew Stephenson, Jenny Travers and Mike Richardson, working with NZ Lotteries marketing team Andrew McLeish and Vanessa Govorko.
