Royal Mail in the UK is releasing thirty First Class postage stamps, each showcasing an Olympic or Paralympic sport, in preparation for the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics being held in London.

The first ten stamps, going on sale on October 22, feature illustrations by artists from a range of disciplines. Artists are designing images of another 20 sports for stamps that will go on sale in 2010 and 2012.

Diver (Aquatics) by illustrator Julian Opie.
Boccia by David Doyle.
Judo by Paul Slater.
Paralympic Dressage by Andrew Davidson.
Badminton by David Holmes.
Weightlifting by Guy Billout.
Basketball by Huntley Muir.

I actually think the stamps are very good. I found this on an Olympic search as I am planning on staying near Ebbsfleet and using the high speed rail to see the whole games. I am very excited!
